Hola!
Today is day 8. I´m at my uncles flat. Sams still in bed.
We´ve been living like kings in barcelona, but tonight we leave for cannes where we´ll be camping for a few nights.
Barcelonian buzzwords have included ´hot´ and ´terracotta´.
After paris we decided we needed to formulate an action plan for beggars; they were draining a lot of money whilst parading around with gucci handbags. We decided we were going to be deaf, and make sign-language signs at them till they went away… Well this was great until we met the deaf beggar. Bah!
It really is very hot here, my back is sticking to the leather of the chair I´m in, gross.
On the train here from paris we encountered three canadians, 2 male, 1 female (before you ask, not tang.). Well, that was like so weird!. Bah!
It´s hot, breakfast just arrived; I´ve got better things to do than update this, ciao!
PS Sam and I are both having a great time.
Have just had a thought.
Google ads are so abundant on the web that they make it possible for google to track anyones movement.
For instance, if you visit a page that has ads on, google knows your there, then if you click an ad, google knows where you’ve gone. Google ads are cited to be on almost half of all ‘popular’ non-commercial sites.
Add to this the fact that google knows what you search for and when you search.
Google will always know what browser you use. Google will know what time in the day you use the internet most and google will know what you look at.
Of course google doesn’t know you, so the data is merely of an anonymous client at IP **.**.**.**
Maybe they’re just very well placed to study human behaviour on a huge scale. Perhaps it’ll help them improve their services…
Anyway, enough of that.
Yesterday I did a buffet at work. They barely ate any of it, so guess what I had for tea…
My canadian second cousin came over yesterday. I’ve only met her once before, and that was brief. She’s almost as nerdy as me! I was showing her things on my computer and she was asking how they worked, so I told her, and she understood! This has never happened before, the situation must be monitored carefully.
Also got paid for websites yesterday: £550 in total, just in time for holidays.
My solitaire addiction shows no signs of subsidance.
I thought I’d lost my passport this morning, I haven’t.
It’s late, I’ve been working all day.
Am tired. Still got stuff to do.
Tis too hot to enjoy coffee.
Can’t wait for this holiday, am almost ready to go, provision wise. Moneys not gonna be much of an issue now, because of all this work.
Looks like tuesday will have been my last day of school, I have no intention of going in tomorrow.
This year marks 60 years of the weapon that was supposed to bring peace: The atomic bomb. They’ve caused more problems than they’ve solved.
Erm, not a lot else to say.
Websites are still nowhere near done, sam came over and I got majorly sidetracked by holiday talk.
Am missing alice loads already, it’s weird not talking to her. Made me wonder this morning if the holiday is such a good idea at all. It’s been bothering me all day, but then I walked into the house from work, and I remembered why I planned it at all.
I can’t stand it here anymore, the whole place reeks. Stinks kinda like river water at the bank that’s got all scummy. Well not literally smelly, but thats how I percieve it and that’s the easiest way to explain.
I’ve got into the habit of arriving early at work just to get out of the house.
Deniese (Liz S’s mum) keeps badgering me about this memorial website she want’s doing, I find it very distasteful and I don’t have the time, but she’s pretty insistant.
School was crap for the two lessons I attended.
And thats my life, sorry if I sound pathetic, sue me.
Another one got caught today, it’s all over the papers. “Teenager
arrested in computer crime scandal”, “Hacker arrested after bank
tampering”…
Damn Kids. They’re all alike.
But did you, in your three piece psychology and 1950’s technobrain ever
take a look behind the eyes of a hacker? Did you ever wonder what made
him tick, what forces shaped him, what may have molded him?
I am a hacker, enter my world…
Mine is a world that begins with school. I’ve listened to the teacher
explain for the fifteenth time how to reduce a fraction. I understand
it. “No, Mrs Smith, I didn’t show my work. I did it in my head…”
Damn kid. Probably copied it. They’re all alike.
I made a discovery today. I found a computer. Wait a second, this is
cool. It does what I want it to do. If it makes a mistake, it’s because
I screwed up. Not because it doesn’t like me…
or feels threatened by me…
or thinks I’m a smart ass…
or doesn’t like teaching and shouldn’t be here…
Damn kid. All he does is play games. They’re all alike.
And then it happened… A door opened to a world… Rushing through the
phone line like heroin through an addict’s veins, an electronic pulse is
sent out, a refuge from the day to day incompetencies is sought… A
board is found.
“This is it… This is where I belong…”
I know everyone here… Even if I’ve never met them, never talked to
them, may never hear from them again… I know you all…
Damn kid. Tying up the phone line again. They’re all alike…
You bet your ass we’re all alike… We’ve been spoon fed baby food at
school when we hungered for steak… The bits of meat that you did let
slip through were pre chewed and tasteless. We’ve been dominated by
sadists, or ignored by the apathetic. The few that had something to
teach found us willing pupils, but those few are like drops of water in
the desert.
This is our world now… The world of the electron and the switch, the
beauty of the baud. We make use of a service already existing without
paying for what could be dirt cheap if it wasn’t run by
profiteering gluttons, and you call us criminals. We explore… And you
call us criminals. We exist without skin color, without nationality,
without religious bias… And you call us criminals. You build
atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, you cheat, and lie to us and
try to make us believe it’s for our own good, yet we’re the criminals.
Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that
of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like.
My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never
forgive me for.
I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto. You may stop this individual,
but you can’t stop us all…
After all, We’re all alike.
+++The Mentor+++
I do not care what these people think. They are moron zombie slaves of Mr Toad.
In other news I’ve been working all weekend.
Was gonna go see alice off, but mum fucked off to the isle of wight, and so couldn’t give me a lift. Thanks ma.
Is this the way to amarillo?
My sisters hampster died in mysterious circumstances this weekend, it was quickly replaced. Apparently the new one has a mardy face, and is called tuesday: Bah-dum-tish…
Martins a fag. Rosy has joined the forum. Beckee is having her ladybits pierced.
I’m working every evening this week besides wednesday, and everyday is gonna be spent doing websites. No time for college in the fast moving world of webdesign…
There went martin, bum my century!
So I’ve been around and about today, doin a little bit of everything.
Erm, had new shoes put on the horse.
Not a lot else going on, except martin being a spack.
So here goes, hold tight, welcome back to toms blog.
Took alice out last night, was nice. The romantic evening I had in mind din’t quite materialise as alice started feeling ill. I really did feel sorry for her, didn’t look like fun, and I suspect I made a lousy nurse… Still, I think we both had a nice time despite evil stomacheness.
Got an email back from my hosts, the reckon an extra GB of monthly bandwidth allowance will cost $20 a year, not too bad at all. They also suggest that I don’t yet need to upgrade… Time will tell.
Missed my first two lessons and tutorial this morning, but decided I wanted to go to further maths. This was a good idea, it was our last lesson together before the summer and it was very productive. Plus I ate sweets.
Tomorrow is my grandads funeral, not so much fun.
I have a load of websited queued up, but no motivation to finish them.
Holiday starts in just over a week, must get it sorted.
Anyhow, seeya.
Tis raining.
I’m inexplicably tired.
The cat’s malting on me.
I really can’t be arsed to add anything to the websites I’m doing.
I noticed today how hypocritical some people can be. They’ll slag off the forum one moment, and use it the next. If you like it, great. If you don’t, no-ones forcing you to use it, so why put your opinion where it’s not wanted?
Oh dear, have had a strange day.
Work in a little while.
Roll on tomorrow.
Well then my little hampsters. I guess if one was using a steak analogy to describe the passsing of time, one could say that it’s been a 32oz Rump since I last posted.
So yeah I kinda fell outta habit.
Lots of stuffs been happening, I’ll just outline the major bits:
I started working for the new computer shop in syston - ThInk. I’m doing their website for them and they’re gonna keep giving me new clients.
My grandad died, which was tres bob. Everythings a bit miserable here at the moment.
I went to see kasabian with sam. They truly rocked my proverbial.
I went to see alices band play. Ended up sitting next to Belinda Nuttal (geography teacher at wreake) and her daughter. The concert was cool, not what I’d been expecting at all.
Gary and kelly have left work. Not a lot to say on this note except, well, I don’t know…
Yesterday I was supposed to be master of ceremonies at the village fete. In my head this involved playing music that everyone would like and going round talking to the stall-holders with the radio mike. No-one had told me there was going to be proper ‘entertainment’; ended up with me organising the different groups into a neat schedule, then announcing them on and off the ’stage’. Apparently my microphone voice is dull, nevermind.
I think that raps us up for a while.
